In 2012 the Affordable Housing Coalition of South Carolina implemented an awards program to recognize our members' contributions to the affordable/workforce housing in South Carolina.

The AHC of SC Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a Coalition member for his/her contributions to the affordable housing industry in the state throughout the course of his/her career.  Nominees must show a commitment to affordable housing through their careers or volunteer involvements in organizations that promote the development, construction, and sustainability of affordable housing or have made contributions to resident/neighborhood development as it relates to affordable housing.  We recognize these accomplishments with our Member of the Year Award and Lifetime Achievement Award.

The AHC of SC Member of the Year Award recognizes a Coalition member for his/her specific, recent contributions to the affordable housing industry in the state.  Contributions can include the development and construction of affordable housing in South Carolina, programs that contribute to resident development and/or neighborhood relations, implementation of best practices with programs and properties, or any  other initiative that will enhance the creation, construction, sustainability and resident relations of affordable housing.

The AHC of SC Legislator of the Year Award is presented to a South Carolina legislator who has demonstrated a commitment to affordable/workforce housing issues and has worked to create positive policy initiatives to advance affordable housing in South Carolina.
